If students have been participating in Academic Coaching this spring semester, they will receive an email from their Academic Coach encouraging them to connect for their next appointment via Zoom. If students have not met with an Academic Coach this semester, they can go to the Academic Coaching page and click on “Make an Appointment”. After logging into Advise Assist, they can select Academic Coaching in the Office of Academic Support and select Coach Consult as the reason. Coach Consult appointments will help students focus on study skill strategies and habits. Our Academic Coaches are prepared to discuss how students may need to adjust their learning approaches to fit an online learning model. Students are welcome to schedule coach consult appointments for ongoing tools and resources throughout the semester.
We have a coach for that.
Academic Coaching at Auburn University is a personalized partnership designed to support each student in meeting their academic goals. You and your coach work together to identify your academic habits, interests, skills, concerns and intentions. Through this interactive process you will develop realistic and workable plans to achieve your vision of success in college.
Academic Coaches empower students to improve in areas such as academic workload management, academic goal-setting, note taking, textbook reading, memory strategies, test preparation, and concentration. Students typically meet with an Academic Coach for 5 appointments/semester following the intake. Coaching is provided year round and is a free service for enrolled undergraduate level students with Auburn University.
Please schedule your appointment for Academic Coaching by clicking make an appointment or by calling 334.844.5972.
NOTE: There is a $10 no show charge for missing appointments hosted by an Academic Coach. Should a student fail to attend an appointment, either through no show or delayed cancellation (or repeated cancellation), they may be locked out of Advise Assist and unable to schedule appointments until they meet with the Academic Coaching Coordinator or Director of Academic Support.
