“I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.”
Kelsey is a Senior at Auburn University studying Architecture. Kelsey began working with Academic Support as the Technology assistant during her freshman year in October of 2013 and was promoted to the director position in May of 2016.
In addition to her work in Academic Support as the Technology Director she is an active member of the American Institute of Architecture Students, the Gamma Beta Phi Honor and Service Society, and volunteers at the Lee County Humane Society when time allows. As Director of ASTech (Academic Support Technology Team) Kelsey supervises a team of two undergraduates providing technology support for all programs coordinated out of the Office of Academic Support including Academic Coaching, Study Partners, Supplemental Instruction (SI), Study Smart, and Plainsmen Prep. Among other duties Kelsey and the ASTech team are responsible for webpage and online appointment system support, and regular user data collection and analysis.
The study strategy that Kelsey finds most effective is to keep a physical planner, phone calendar, and set reminders. She believes that being organized keeps you on track and manages time which will help anyone succeed in their classes.
