About Academic Coaching

Academic Coaching gives you one-on-one help to study smarter, stay organized, and reach your goals at Auburn. You and your academic coach will build a personalized plan. This can help you manage your workload, focus better, prepare for tests, or handle college life. Coaching is free all year for every enrolled student.

Service Hours

In Fall 2026, Academic Coaches will meet with students from Monday, August 17 to Friday, December 4. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and with limited Friday availability. You can also drop in without an appointment. Drop-in coaching happens in person and is quick and casual, perfect for a fast chat with a coach.

Appointments take place in 2234 Haley Center. Online options are also available for first-time meetings and follow-up sessions.

Please note: If you can't make your appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours ahead using Advise & Assist. You can also call the office during University hours at 334.844.5972.

Empowering Students

What You'll Work On

Anyone can benefit from Academic Coaching, no matter your year in school, your major, or your past school experience. At your first meeting, your coach will check in on your academic skills, challenges, and goals. After that, students meet with their coach three to five times each semester. You can come back anytime, and we encourage you to keep working with the same coach.

Here are some things your coach can help with:

  • Managing your workload and setting goals

  • Improving focus and memory

  • Note-taking and reading textbooks

  • Online learning

  • Test prep and test-taking skills

  • Adjusting to college life

Certified Peer Educators
